Richmond, Michigan Dick Huvaere and Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM (www.DriveEnvy.com) were recognized this week by the Troy, Michiagn Police Department and the city of Troy MI for their assistance in the recovery of over 500 stolen in-dash navigation units, as well as being instrumental in the arrest of several individuals involved in the thefts. ?We are thrilled to be recognized for our part in helping the investigation,? Dick Huvaere, president of Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, said last week. ?The Troy police came to us with an offer to insert a tracking device inside a navigation unit. We donated an in-dash unit, which was then modified and placed in a bait car. When the unit was stolen, Troy police were able to track the unit and make the arrests.? The suspects that were stealing the actual units were being paid $250.00 -$400.00 per unit from the fences. The fences were selling the items on E-Bay, Craigslist, and to auto parts stores at prices ranging from $600.00 to $1200.00. Insurance companies were being billed $1300.00 to 2000.00 for each unit replaced. The cost to the insurance and automotive industries because of these thefts was in excess of 3 million dollars in Michigan alone.
Richmond Chrysler Dodge celebrated their 31th anniversary this year, with the combination of all operations producing over 45,000 vehicle sales and 1/2 billion dollars in sales volume.

Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep has in their showroom for immediate delivery the new 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. Why is this important? Anyone can go out and start buying aftermarket parts and accessories for their Jeep, and some of them might even work as intended. But how does a Jeep owner know what's really best for his vehicle? One simple way is with the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited that Mopar, the performance parts group at Chrysler, has made available. Modifications chosen specifically to enhance the off-road abilities, as well as resale value, include The American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) front bumper ($1,620) with its integrated Warn winch ($1,375). Not only does the bumper provide the look, protection and clearance needed for extreme off-roading, it integrates with the Jeep's crash sensors so the airbags that protect the driver and front-seat passenger in the event of a mishap still function properly. According to Mopar, "Anytime we put anything on a vehicle that can influence the result of an accident, we have to go through the same frontal and side impact collision tests as on a new car," explained Jim Sassorossi, Mopar's director of sales and marketing.
Other modifications to this very special Jeep include: a front skid plate ($299); off-road lights ($125); Mopar off-road rear bumper ($558); 2-inch lift kit ($1,510); front and rear differential covers ($79 each); locking fuel cap ($22); black door-entry guards ($40); two-tone leather seats ($774) with heaters ($291); slush floor mats ($76); grab handle kit ($33); a Kicker 10-inch subwoofer with 200-watt amplifier ($630); and a Mopar exhaust tip ($55).
Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep not only features the normal departments such as Sales and Service, but also has a huge selection of vehicles, an on-site cafe', a Health and Fitness Center (for associates and customers alike), a high tech body and paint shop, and an accessory boutique. Explained Dick Huvaere, President of Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep, "People arrive here and can't believe all the energy that this store, located so far out in the country, generates. "I tell everyone that when they are driving here they will pass cows and cornfields on the way," Huvaere added. "We tell them to spend the day and have lunch at one of our towns 10 specialty restaurants, while we get their new vehicle ready to go home and enjoy for years to come".

Guess where the largest 2010 Chrysler Dealership in the world is located! Well, you might think California, Idaho, or Texas, but wouldn't you be surprised to find that it's right here in Richmond Michigan? That's right, Richmond Michigan. A small town in Southeastern Michigan with over 4900 residents is the home to Dick Huvaere's Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep. Last year Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep sold nearly 3000 new cars, all one at a time, to folks who have come from near and far for the past thirty years. For the second time in 2010, they've earned the distinction of being the largest Chrysler dealership in the world by total sales. "We are selling to third generation buyers now," stated Dick Huvaere in a recent interview. "Our reputation has grown to let folks know that they can get a great no nonsense deal, plus great service with small town charm".
