Do I have to take the vehicle where my insurance company tells me to?
Although the insurance company may try to direct you to a specific repair shop the ultimate choice is yours as it is your vehicle and your choice as to where you get your vehicle repaired.

How many estimates do I need?
There is no law in Michigan that you have to get more than 1 estimate.

What if the insurance estimate is lower than yours?
Insurance company estimates are very often lower than ours for a number of reasons. It is our responsibility to call the insurance company adjustor or appraiser to negotiate on your behalf .

If the frame of my car is damaged, is it a total loss?
No, a vehicle is a total loss when the amount of repairs exceeds the value of the vehicle. Today's vehicles are designed to bend and fold in order to absorb impact forces and save the vehicle occupants from injury. Richmond Chrysler Collision Center is equipped with laser measuring systems to guarantee your vehicle will be repaired properly.

What is a mini-tort claim?

Mini tort was added onto the Michigan No Fault statutes to prevent people who were not at fault in an accident from being penalized by paying their deductibles. If someone else is at fault and identified in your accident then they or their insurance company will reimburse you your deductible up to $500.00.

Do I have to pay a deductible ?
The amount of deductible that you will be responsible for is determined by your insurance policy. If you carry broad collision, and you were not at fault, your insurance company most likely will waive your deductible. Insurance companies determine fault by your account of the accident when you make the claim, and by reviewing the accident report filed with the police department. If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can call your agent and he can tell you whether your insurance company has waived your deductible or whether you will be responsible to pay this when you pick up your vehicle.

What is betterment?
Betterment is charged by the insurance company for your portion towards the replacement of wear and tear items damaged in the accident.

Are my repairs guaranteed:?
Yes, all repairs and refinishing done by Richmond Chrysler Collision Center are guaranteed.

How do I get a rental?

Many insurance policies carry rental coverage and Enterprise Car Rental is located on the premises for your convenience.

Can I get other service work done while my vehicle is under repairs?
Absolutely, just let your adviser know what your vehicle needs and we can coordinate your body repair and service needs.
