Chrysler Jeep Superstores and
Motor City Dodge Dealers return as title sponsors of Detroit's Electronic Music
Festival Paxahau today announced Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers are returning as title sponsors of the 2007 Detroit Electronic Music Festival, May 26-28 at its home in downtown Detroit's Hart Plaza. "Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers were key to the festival's success in 2006," said Jason Huvaere, Paxahau's managing director. "These organizations really stepped up within a short time frame last year to support the event and we are very pleased to continue the partnership in 2007." City of Detroit Chief Administrative Officer Lucius Vassar commended the dealers for their support of the event, saying "Again we're seeing two Detroit dealer associations step up and help bolster this important event, which brings people from all over the world to Detroit for this great summer kickoff weekend." Motor City Dodge Dealers is an association of 35 Dodge Dealers in Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan. Motor City Dodge Dealers' president Bruce Campbell said the group is happy not only to be a part of the economic development of Metro Detroit, but also of the music and art community that is a part of the region's history. "Cars and music are two things we love in Metro Detroit," said Campbell. "It's a natural for us to partner with the electronic music festival and help it grow." The Chrysler Jeep Superstores Advertising Association is made up of the 39 independently owned Chrysler Jeep Superstores in Southeastern Michigan from Monroe to Fowlerville and from Clinton to Port Huron. "Chrysler Jeep Superstores are especially happy to be a major part of another great weekend in downtown Detroit as a title sponsors for the 2007 Electronic Music Festival," Chrysler Jeep Superstores Advertising Association President Jim Schebil said. "Detroit is known around the world for our music leadership and it is great to build on that history with our support of music that started in Detroit and is now celebrated around the globe." Paxahau last month confirmed the 2007 Festival will feature performances by legendary Detroit artists Moodymann live featuring Pitch Black City; Model 500 featuring the godfather of Detroit Techno Juan Atkins; and Jeff Mills, the longtime hard hitting "wizard" of Detroit Techno. A lineup of artists is available at www.demf.com. Since 1998 Paxahau has promoted electronic music and has grown to include a web archive, booking agency, record label and an event production company which produces an average of 20 events a year. With a network of alliances and resources that span the globe, Paxahau has emerged as a premier promotions group within the electronic music industry.
