Jeep Renegade MPG

With the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the Renegade has an EPA-estimated 22 city/30 highway MPG with front-wheel drive. With four-wheel drive, the Renegade has an EPA-estimated 21 city/29 highway MPG.

The 1.3-liter turbo-four engine has an EPA-estimated 24 city/32 highway MPG with front-wheel drive. With four-wheel drive, this engine gets an EPA-estimated 22 city/27 highway MPG. This engine also comes with Stop/Start Technology. It automatically shuts down the engine when idling to reduce emissions and cut down on fuel consumption.

Renegade Performance

The Renegade MPG stems from one of the two available engines. It comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The upgraded engine option is a 1.3-liter turbo-four that produces 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use a nine-speed automatic transmission and come with front-wheel drive standard, though four-wheel drive is available.

Both engines deliver reliable power for highway passing and merging and around-town driving. The turbo-four has more accessible power and efficiency of the two, however, and is the preferred engine for off-roading and towing needs. If you need capability, the four-wheel-drive system is ideal for rugged trail environments and inclement weather alike.

Renegade Features

Along with its impressive MPG rating and performance, the Renegade boasts intuitive technology with an array of connectivity features. All models come with a 7-inch touchscreen for the Uconnect® infotainment system, a popular infotainment system that features crisp graphics, a straightforward layout, and responsive inputs. Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® smartphone compatibility is included, so you can sync your phone to the vehicle’s onboard system to listen to music or audiobooks on the go. Bluetooth® connectivity, satellite radio, and a USB port are also included.

Several features are optional, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen, HD Radio™, navigation, and an additional USB port. You can also add a 120-volt household-style power outlet and remote start. For safety, the Renegade includes a rearview camera and lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, a system that warns you if you drift out of your lane and gently guides you back. Automatic emergency braking is also included, which presses the brakes automatically if it detects a possible collision. You can add front and rear parking sensors, hands-free parallel park assist, and automatic high-beam headlights for low-visibility situations.
