If you want to reach this truck’s maximum towing capacity, go for the available 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine with eTorque. It generates 395 horsepower and can tow up to 12,750 pounds when properly equipped.
Available eTorque technology is a mild hybrid system that pairs your engine with an electric motor. This provides extra low-end torque to improve efficiency and increase towing capabilities.
Ram 1500 Cargo Bed
With a maximum payload capacity of 2,300 pounds, the 2021 Ram 1500 is ready for some heavy lifting. Plus, with its available multifunction tailgate, loading up the cargo bed is even more convenient. The multifunction tailgate gives you three different tailgate positions to work with:
- Tailgate fully closed
- Split 60/40 doors
- Tailgate down
Fold the tailgate up and down like a traditional pickup or swing the tailgate open like a fifth door. This makes it easier to load and unload bulkier items without the length of the tailgate getting in your way.
The RamBox® Cargo Management System is also available. This places two additional cargo boxes inside the walls of your truck’s bed, allowing you to store smaller items conveniently. It’s weather-proof and even has a 115-volt auxiliary outlet so that you can power up your tools at the jobsite.
Driver-Assistive Features
While the 2021 Ram 1500 isn’t afraid of hard work, it also understands the value of accepting a little help every now and then. That’s why it comes with available driver-assistive features like:
