Oil Change Before 10,000 Miles

Before you reach 10,000 miles, get your oil changed. With all the traveling you do, your Jeep’s oil will get tainted from the debris and matter on the road. When that happens, the parts under the hood will not move as smoothly, decreasing your Gladiator’s performance. This interval can be followed throughout the life of your car.

20,000 Miles

At the 20,000-mile interval, your cabin air filter should be replaced, so that you’re breathing in pure air. While you’re getting this filter changed, other inspections will occur at this appointment. Axle fluid will be measured and topped off if necessary. The suspension will also be checked out to see how it’s holding together.

30,000 Miles

When your Jeep reaches 30,000 miles, the manual transmission fluid will be replaced. This fluid lubricates and cools off the transmission, but once it ages, it may not perform its job as well as it could.

Also, the engine air cleaner should be changed at this point. If you’re using your Gladiator on a range of terrain, it’s eventually going to be polluted by all the dust and dirt on the road. Your mechanic will inspect it and then decide if it’s a service worth completing at this interval.

60,000 Miles

Once you reach the 60,000 mile-interval, you’ll want to get the transfer case fluid replaced. If you’ve chosen 4×4 capability for your Gladiator, this fluid will lubricate and cool off the transfer case, much like what the transmission fluid does for the transmission. To prevent overheating, this fluid can be replaced by newer and purer fluid for a better ride.

100,000 Miles

Congratulations! You and your Jeep Gladiator reached the 100,000 milestone together! Since you’ve made it this far, we can tell that you’ve been sticking with the maintenance guide. By keeping up with routine maintenance, you’re extending the life of your car.

Let’s see what’s on the list for this interval. Looking at the owner’s manual, you’ll see that the Gladiator should get new engine coolant. This must be tended to by 150,000 miles or when your car turns 10 years young.

Get a head start and change the coolant now. The coolant removes the heat from the engine, so it doesn’t get too hot and overheat.
