Maintenance Every 10,000 Miles

Specifies that you need to change your oil at most at 10,000 miles or once per year. With every oil change you will also get a tire rotation as well as an inspection of the following components:

  • CV/universal joints
  • Brake system
  • Exhaust system
  • Battery
  • Fluids

Maintenance Every 20,000 MilesWorking underneath

After buying a new Dodge Durango, you’ll need to bring it in for its first comprehensive maintenance service at 20,000 miles or two years.

At your 20,000-mile appointment, you will receive the same services that are part of every 10,000-mile interval appointment in addition to an inspection of the following parts:

  • Front suspension
  • Front and rear axle fluid
  • Brake lining

Maintenance Every 30,000 Miles

Once your Durango reaches 30,000 miles, you’ll need to add just a few extra services to your regular oil changes. These include replacing the engine air cleaner filter and inspecting the transfer case fluid.

Afterward, you’ll need these services completed every 30,000 miles, including at:

  • 60,000 miles
  • 90,0000 miles
  • 150,000 miles

At 120,000 miles, you will need the transfer case fluid changed.

The 100,000-mile interval is an important one. Your Durango has graduated to the six-figure digits and it’s an accomplishment to be proud of. You’ve been taking great care of your Dodge so far and you’ll have to add some new services to your maintenance appointments to keep it running well.

These new services include:

  • Replacing the cabin air filter
  • Replacing the spark plugs
  • Replacing the PCV valve
  • Flushing and changing engine coolant (if it has been 10 years)

The next service is at 120,000 miles, which we mentioned was to change the transfer case fluid. Then, the next key service past the 100,000-mile mark is at 150,000 miles. At this service interval, your Dodge Durango will need:

  • An inspection of the accessor drive belt tensioner and pulley
  • Replacement of the accessory drive belt
  • Coolant flush and change, if not yet completed
  • All other services required at 30,000-mile intervals
