2022 Jeep Wagoneer Trim Levels Review

Created in 1963, the Jeep Wagoneer has been one of the premier and most recognizable SUVs you can find on the roads of Richmond, New Baltimore, and Detroit, MI. Offering style, tons of different performance capabilities, and more, it’s no secret as to why it’s so beloved. With two different trim levels to choose from, you’ll be able to choose your ride easily.
At Dick Huvaere’s Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we’re here to outline the two Wagoneer trims—the Series II and Series III.
Jeep Wagoneer Series II
We’ll start with the Jeep Wagoneer Series II trim, which helps you get off on the right foot on any adventure you want to go on. A legendary vehicle needs a legendary engine backing it up. As such, the Series II features a 5.7L V8 engine with eTorque, which produces 392 horsepower, 404 lb-ft of torque, and a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds when properly equipped.
The true beauty of the Wagoneer (besides its dashing good looks!) is that it offers three available 4×4 systems. Below, you’ll learn a little more about each one:
- Quadra-Trac I®: A fully engaged 4×4 system that features the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System that helps maintain vehicle traction in multiple road and terrain conditions.
- Quadra-Trac II®: This also features the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System, plus a 2-speed low transfer case.
- Quadra-Drive® II: This features a rear electronic limited-slip differential.
The Series II trim gets a maximum cargo volume of 116.7 cubic feet, which is more than enough to fit all of your luggage without feeling like you have to play a real-life game of Tetris. It also seats up to eight people, and features Tri-Zone Climate Control, so your rear passengers can control their own temperatures.
Jeep Wagoneer Series III
The Jeep Wagoneer Series III trim is the next level up and offers even more to make your daily drives and adventures exhilarating. Standard on this vehicle is Automatic High-Beam Headlamps and door courtesy lamps for extra lighting. Like the Series II trim, this trim comes with leather-trimmed seats, while the driver’s seat offers a memory function that can adjust to your pre-set seating position.
One difference with the Series III trim is that the 60/40 power-fold/recline third-row seating is standard, as is the heating function in the second row of seats.
In terms of infotainment, you’ll be treated to an immersive experience unlike anything you’ve seen before. The Series III—like the Series II—comes with a standard 10.1-inch touchscreen display that supports Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The Wagoneer Series III trim also offers a standard, built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
One of the more unique features that the Wagoneer offers is its available Amazon Fire TV for Auto, which lets you access different streaming services, like Netflix, Hulu, and more right from the vehicle. All of your audio will sound clearer than ever, too, with the available 19-speaker system by McIntosh®, featured only in the Series III trim.
